- The map on the front allows to know the main and secondary road network of each province, indicating political division, hydrography, national parks and nature reserves, spas, thermal centers, historical places and monuments, and offices of the ACA. The main access routes to the city of Santiago de Chile are also shown. The back offers a description of the tourist attractions by province, detailed maps and urban plans of the main cities. This Zone Sheet includes sites of great tourist importance; mountain destinations, such as the provinces of Córdoba and San Luis, and the mountain province of Mendoza. The traditional and modern city of Córdoba, adorned by its churches, historical monuments and museums, is the starting point -in this Zone Sheet- to start the circuit of mountains, through the attractive Camino de las Altas Cumbres towards the area of Traslasierra; the Paravachasca valley, at the foot of the Chicas mountains, and the Calamuchita and Sierras valley, to the south. Along these routes, picturesque mountain towns that offer beautiful natural enclaves, dikes and reservoirs, distinguished architecture, spas, Jesuit farms and exquisite gastronomy are crossed. Already in the region of Cuyo, San Luis also presents the scenarios offered by the Sierras Pampeanas, ideal for the practice of adventure tourism and wildlife observation. Rivers, streams and hot springs are characteristic of the area. Its capital, San Luis, stands out, from which you can visit the towns of Potrero de los Funes, Balde, Valle de la Quebrada, El Trapiche, La Punta and even reach the Sierra de las Quijadas National Park. The City Villa de Merlo stands out for its microclimate and La Toma, for the distinctive crafts made in Onix marble. Villa Mercedes, Quines and San Francisco del Monte de Oro are also distinguished. The province of Mendoza offers visitors a great diversity of environments and activities, which is why it has become one of the most outstanding tourist centers in the country. The city of Mendoza is characterized by its ditches, well-kept streets and by the allusion to the Sanmartiniana epic present in its buildings and monuments. From here you can start the impressive journey to the Villavicencio Nature Reserve. From Malargüe you can access the Caverna de las Brujas and Las Leñas, which together with Los Penitentes and Vallecitos make up a set of International Winter Centers. San Rafael is the access point to the Atuel Canyon and Uspallata to the famous Inca Bridge and the Aconcagua Provincial Park, where the homonymous hill rises -6,959 meters-, the highest height in the continent.
