Vermont is very appropriately called the Green Mountain State, with flat ground hard to find. Drainage is fairly evenly divided between the Connecticut River's eastern border and the Hudson-Champlain trough in the west. Tracing the very irregular divide between the two makes for an entertaining and detailed virtual tour of the state.
