South Carolina Archival Print

South Carolina includes only the narrowest sliver of Appalachian ridges. The broad Coastal Plain includes very extensive marsh lands extending up major drainages well past the fall line. Most of South Carolina is rolling Piedmont drained by a classic dendritic (“tree-form”) river system.
