• This Map Pack concentrates on that portion of the Rockies that stretches from just north of the American border to the 60th parallel boundary where Arctic Canada begins and includes three separate maps. ITMB's Canadian Rockies Map, covering Banff, Kootenay, Glacier, and Yoho National Parks as well as a host of pristine provincial parks and wildlife preserves at 1:250,000 scale (double-sided, printed on waterproof plastic). This map is based on Canada Map Office survey-quality accurate topography and shows roads, camping sites, skiing and hiking areas, golf courses, horse riding trails, and even hang-gliding venues. This excellent regional map is supported by two detailed National Park maps. Banff National Park was the first National Park in the world and protects Lake Louise, Castle Mountain, and Emerald Lake. The town of Banff is a resort town surrounded by white-capped mountains and contains the famous Banff Springs Hotel on the slopes of Sulphur Mountain The third map is ITMB’s map of Jasper National Park, the northern extension of Banff. This map also uses Canada Map Office cartography as its base for detail and accuracy. Further north of the park is the town of Jasper, nestled in a mountain valley along the enormous Athabasca River that is just starting its long trek to the Arctic Ocean. Further west is Mount Robson Park and further east the Miette Hot Springs. On the other side of this map is a separate map of northern Alberta, stretching from Red Deer north to the Northwest Territories boundary. These three maps are ideal for anyone planning a trip to the Canadian Rockies.
