Map colors reflect natural environments across the continent from the forested east to the snowcapped Rockies to the desert southwest. You will also find major cities and state lines printing lightly on the map for reference. With abundant physical features everywhere, a challenge was selecting which ones to show on the map. References included atlases, US Geological Survey topographic maps, and various online sources. Elevations are in feet.
