  • Experience the World on Two Wheels: For over 35 years, we have been publishing road maps that have earned the trust of travelers, starting with the predecessor "2-Wheel Vehicle Touring Map." The most distinctive feature is the plethora of "commentary information" scattered across the map, covering a wide range of genres and content. Area-specific riders, local monitors, editors, and more gather authentic, firsthand information through annual road testing. In the limited space of a book's map, each comment is typically limited to about 20-30 words, sparking the users' imagination. As you explore this map, you'll find yourself eager to say, "I want to go there!" "I want to know more!" "I want to eat that!" "I want to ride that!" While the main users are motorcycle riders, the content is suitable for all travelers. Included 2023 Edition App "Route!" Usage Code: Seamlessly view the map without interruptions, and even record your position and travel logs. The coupon code included offers 12 months of access to the app's maps, making it a great deal. *Note: The coupon code is valid for the area map you purchase. There is also a monthly subscription version that covers all areas. *Some differences may exist between the book and app maps in terms of coverage and specifications. Updated Map Content: Based on real road tests and monitor information, this map keeps up with the evolving conditions of roads and facilities (openings, closures, relocations, etc.). Comments covering various genres, such as scenic routes and great riding roads, as well as hot springs and campgrounds, have been added or revised this year. Handy Index Pages: The appendix includes indexes of cities and towns within the coverage area, day-use hot springs, and campgrounds. Lead Feature: Our research team introduces spots and culinary delights they discovered at each location, accompanied by photos. We aim to provide content that helps travelers find destinations and objectives. The popular "Reader Contributions" page is also back this year. Fold-Out Map: On one side, you'll find a "Highway Network Map," and on the other, a full-scale, reduced-size map for note-taking and highlighting. Introduction of the Hokkaido Area Rider: Nobuyoshi Ohara, a freelance photographer based in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, and Asahikawa City, Hokkaido. Since taking over as the Hokkaido correspondent for Showa Note's "2-Wheel Vehicle Touring Map" when it transitioned to "Touring Mapplu," he has continued to cover Hokkaido. He has taken all the cover photos for the first edition. He also launched the "Hokkaider" brand and actively promotes information about Hokkaido, earning the trust of Hokkaido enthusiasts and travelers from all over the country. He has contributed to many motorcycle magazines and authored books such as "Hokkaido Scenic Road Selection (1-3)" and "Hokkaido Touring Perfect Guide 2014-2018." Starting in June 2021, he opened the "HOKKAIDER BASE" (40C-4) in Asahikawa City, a gallery and cafe serving as a base for Hokkaido travelers' information.
