Africa Land Cover Fine Art Print Map

Explore Africa's magnificent and diverse landscapes with this stunning print that depicts the continent like no other map. Land cover data is blended with hues derived from satellite imagery to render the continent in hues that evoke its nature. The rich greens for the rainforests of the Congo Basin contrast with the browns and yellows of the shrublands of the Kalahari and the grasslands of the Sahel. And in the deserts like the Sahara, the hues of the region's exposed geology color the map, showcasing dunes and arid mountains with patterns and textures that can't be found in traditional land cover datasets. These colors are all overlaid on meticulously-crafted shaded relief to showcase features like the Great Rift Valley, the Atlas Mountains, and the Congo Basin. Nearly 4,000 labels for cities, mountains, lakes, rivers, and other features provide context for the landscape, working in tandem with the shading to identify sentinel features and interpret the geography on display from Morocco to Madagascar.
